Happy Chinese New Year of the Dragon. 

KD (Kevin Durant) IV Year-of-the-Dragon. Surely the pickup of the year in my opinion, and it’s only January.

This year is the year of the Water Dragon hence the aqua blue theme (or Green Abyss according to Nike). Laser etching of the ripples on the adaptive fit strap and such detailed laser etching of the dragon snaking around the KD label and instep. Meticulous. Then there is the shoe tongue. The patterns are not dyed - they are stitched together to create a mosaic of pattern and colour which also reveals the 35. The in-sole continues the theme with a dragon wrapped around the Nike sign. Flip over to the transparent blue sole. There is a lightning bolt tread pattern and dragon scales adorn the mid-foot support. 

Details. I love details. 

I have 6 dragons in my family. I hope they have an extra special year.
